Open Arms UCC is blessed by the pastoral leadership in the dynamic person of The Rev. Dr, ,Jules Williams. , planning to locate north of Houston in the Spring/Woodlands area.  While Open Arms is currently looking for a permanent worship center, it is presently worshipping at The Tamina Community Center at 10:30 A.M. on Sunday mornings.  Open Arms welcomes everyone into its body of believers.

He and his wife Kim have been married for 32 years and have three adult children who are an active part in our church community, especially music.

He served several churches in the Gulf Coast-East Texas area as congregational leader, preacher, and counselor. From 2014 to 2017, Williams counseled with groups, focusing on issues related to drug addiction.  Since 2018, Rev. Jules has been employed as a Transition Specialist by the Windham School District located inside all Texas prisons. Rev. Williams’ background, counseling experience, and formal education have armed him with the power to identify with others, both in his sermons and in his personal interactions.  He is anxious to be available to anyone who could benefit from his presence, prayer, Bible reading and consultation.  Please join with us on Facebook or YouTube on Sunday mornings and meet our wonderful group.  “No matter who you are, no matter where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome at Open Arms.”

OPEN ARMS UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST: OUR ROOTS

Open Arms United Church of Christ was formed when another church in Spring, Texas, severed ties with the United Church of Christ and became a non-denominational church. Historically, it was one of the oldest churches in the Spring area, tracing its beginning to 1916, the year in which it was founded by second generation German immigrants.  Originally, it was a German Lutheran church, then merged into the Evangelical and Reformed denomination, and then became a part of the United Church of Christ (UCC), composed of historical and respected protestant groups.
