Getting To Know Us

OPEN ARMS UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST: WE OPEN OUR ARMS TO YOU!

We are Open Arms United Church of Christ, a church that is open and welcoming to all. Open Arms is a Christian body that focuses on Mission, Inclusiveness, and Social Justice. Our name reflects the Extravagant and Enthusiastic Welcome that is accorded all persons “no matter who they are, or where they are on life’s journey.”

Still in formative stages, Open Arms has been meeting in the gym at First Christian Church of Conroe at 10:30am every Sunday you can also find us on the Open Arms FaceBook page and on You Tube.   At present, Bible Study is offered the first and third Wednesday at 11:00am via Zoom and in person.  OAUCC also has special programs on certain occasions.

Please watch as this developing church GROWS in the North Harris County, South Montgomery County   area.  Please believe, “you are always welcome here.”

OPEN ARMS UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST: OUR ROOTS

Open Arms United Church of Christ was formed when another church in Spring, Texas, severed ties with the United Church of Christ and became a non-denominational church. Historically, it was one of the oldest churches in the Spring area, tracing its beginning to 1916, the year in which it was founded by second generation German immigrants.  Originally, it was a German Lutheran church, then merged into the Evangelical and Reformed denomination, and then became a part of the United Church of Christ (UCC), composed of historical and respected protestant groups.
